The dermatology residency program is an advanced program. Applicants must have completed one year of training in an accredited broad-based residency program prior to beginning the PGY-2 year in dermatology.
Acceptable broad-based PGY-1 programs include a transitional year or a first-year residency in emergency medicine, family medicine, general surgery, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, or pediatrics.
