We only accept applications through the Electronic Residency Application Service .

Our annual residency application due date is Nov. 1.

The following materials are required:

  • Completed application
  • Four letters of recommendation from U.S. or Canadian physicians (International medical school graduates must have letters of recommendation that clearly document U.S. or Canadian clinical experience.)
  • Medical school transcript
  • Dean’s letter
  • Personal statement
  • United States Medical Licensing Examination scores (Step 1 is required; Step 2 is optional but preferred. A passing score on the written USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 is necessary for entrance into our residency program.)
  • ECFMG certificate (IMG applicants)

Eligibility requirements

The dermatology residency program is an advanced program. Applicants must have completed one year of training in an accredited broad-based residency program prior to beginning the PGY-2 year in dermatology.

Acceptable broad-based PGY-1 programs include a transitional year or a first-year residency in emergency medicine, family medicine, general surgery, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, or pediatrics.
