About the Department

As experts in the care of disorders of the hair, skin and nails, we treat dermatologic disease in all skin types, all ages and all forms. We are proud that our patients, colleagues and community members look to us as leaders and collaborators in the effort to promote skin health throughout the city and region.  With an expanding list of subspecialty and multidisciplinary clinics VCU Dermatology is a referral base for disorders including alopecia, cutaneous T-cell lymphoma.

Advances in the field of dermatology are expanding rapidly, and our department is committed to growing with these advances and to sharing that knowledge with our residents, medical students and colleagues.   With an increasing emphasis on research and scholarship, we value the opportunity to participate in clinical trials and basic science research, thus contributing to the body of knowledge that will shape the future of treating dermatologic diseases.

Excellence is our goal in service to our patients and in service to one another. We value every patient entrusted to our care, and we value every member of our team.
